Featuring a beautiful vintage traditional German 835 silver Trachtenkette Goiter multi strand festoon necklace. This gorgeous necklace measures approximately 16 inches around at 35.7 grams respectively. In excellent vintage condition with a a functional hallmarked 835 clasp, minimal wear with components intact and accounted for. Made in the early 20th century Goiter necklaces were originally made to hide evidence of Goiter linked to Iodine deficiencies. These necklaces fell out of fashion in the 1930s and now are a staple to Austrian and German traditional clothing. Just beautiful!
