Featuring an extraordinary antique sterling marked citrine paste drop earrings. Adorned with brilliant faceted pear shaped 15mm by 20mm citrine yellow paste stone set in cupped sterling backings hung on a delicate sterling rose and signed sterling screw back clasps. Earrings measure approximately 1 inch long and are in excellent vintage condition for their age, the reverse of one of the earrings has a slight dent and is unnoticeable from the front. Extremely unique and highly collectible and sought after!

In 1724 Georges Frederic Strass invented “paste”, a leaded glass that can be cut and polished with metal powder till they sparkles like diamonds. A staple of Parisian high society. Reaching a peak during the Victorian Era, Swarovski had taken over most of the market.
